Tebar for GitHub Copilot

Use Tebar from Copilot CLI or agent mode in VS Code, for example to announce a release straight from the repo.

How to connect

  1. 1

    Create an API key

Create an API key in the Tebar dashboard (API keys menu). Choose read-only if the agent only needs to read.

  2. 2

    Add the MCP server

Run the command below. Tebar is ready right away, no Copilot CLI restart needed.

  3. 3

    Check the connection

Type /mcp in Copilot CLI and make sure tebar is listed.

Terminal

copilot mcp add --transport http tebar https://api.tebar.app/mcp \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer tb_live_xxx"

In VS Code: run the "MCP: Add Server" command, choose HTTP, then enter Tebar's MCP URL. If VS Code asks you to sign in, log in to Tebar and allow access.

No account yet? Sign up free, then connect your social accounts in the dashboard. The full guide is at docs.tebar.app, and the steps above follow GitHub Copilot’s official guide.

Try asking

  • "Write a caption for this photo, then schedule it for 7 pm tomorrow on Instagram and Threads."
  • "Which comments haven’t been answered yet? Suggest replies first."
  • "Which post from last week got the most views?"
  • "Move Friday’s post to Saturday at 9 am."

About GitHub Copilot

How is using GitHub Copilot different from the Tebar dashboard?

Both use the same Tebar account. Posts made by GitHub Copilot show up on the dashboard calendar, and the other way round. Use whichever feels easiest.

Can GitHub Copilot post without me knowing?

AI assistants are asked to confirm the text and target accounts before creating a post. You can also give read-only access, and revoke access any time from the Tebar dashboard.

Which plan do I need?

MCP and API access come with every paid plan (Starter, Basic, Pro), including the 14-day Pro trial for new sign-ups.
